AIThariq, of Anthropic, says the most common failure in AI coding is users working outside their domain who cannot write precise prompts and plans. As a result, they spend many turns iterating imprecisely. The quoted post contrasts this with programmers' advantage in vibe coding.
AILlamaIndex argues that traditional OCR, which makes one pass and returns unchecked text, is being replaced by agentic OCR. The approach treats parsing as a loop with layout-aware reading order, routing of hard elements such as tables and charts to suitable models, and multi-pass self-correction.
AIMerve Noyan, a Hugging Face employee, says anyone not using llama.app to run models locally is someone she has nothing to say to. The post is a brief promotional endorsement and includes no features, specifications, or benchmarks.
AIGuillermo Rauch says his new project has a hand-written README for human readers, while its internal documentation is written in AI-style English for agents. He argues that blogs, tweets, and READMEs are human communication and should be written by people to connect with other readers.
AIHamel Husain says it is baffling that people keep their laptops open for long-running work instead of using SSH into a machine or Codex's remote feature with a Mac mini. He argues that after being stuck in this situation more than three times, continuing it is crazy.
AIRollouts account for most of RL's compute cost, and splitting them from training across separate engines can introduce numerical mismatches. In MoE models, such mismatches can even route tokens to different experts. Fireworks says it co-builds both engines so training stays fast and consistent.
AIHamel Husain has published a longer review of a new Claude Auto Eval plugin after many users asked about it. He invites readers to share their experiences using the plugin and how it went for them. The plugin is part of Claude's ability to help build evaluations and hillclimb on them, as described by @ClaudeDevs.
AIThe author argues that carefully crafted wording-level prompts have almost no effect in 2026, and that clear intent plus sufficient context matters most. Reusable prompt components are being absorbed into agent skills and context tools, while harnesses and models internalize more capability, leaving little room for prompting.
AIA short video summarizes Paul Graham's essay "How to Do Great Work" in under 200 seconds. The post, by Deedy, calls it a favorite essay and credits Opus for the video's creation.
AIJohn Schulman says two papers on counterfactual simulatability used Tinker for fine-tuning experiments, one of them building on earlier work by Hase et al. Tinker's background post frames the approach as predicting how an LLM's output changes under a different prompt, and cites both papers.
AIMatt Pocock's /wayfinder skill is designed for "fog of war" situations where the end state of a project is unclear. It orchestrates research and other grill sessions to help users discover what they don't yet know, building on his popular /grill-me skill. Latent Space is featuring the skill in an exclusive interview as the first in a series of Skills coverage.
