Databricks acquires ElectricSQL and Neon, adding WASM Postgres for agents

Databricks has acquired ElectricSQL, the team behind PGlite, a WebAssembly Postgres implementation that runs in browsers and syncs asynchronously with Postgres instances. The company says the technology will strengthen its Lakebase Postgres offering for fast AI agents.
