Gergely Orosz says AI agents need deterministic safeguards for sensitive data

Gergely Orosz argues that cloud deployment will increasingly host AI agents, but that does not solve their risky handling of sensitive data. He notes agents are nondeterministic, so guaranteeing something will not happen requires a deterministic system.

@GergelyOrosz

one more reason AI agents will increasingly run on the cloud, not locally

but even so, that doesn't deal with how AI agents can do stupid stuff with sensitive data as well

these things are nondeterministic. To gurantee something does not happen, you need a deterministic sys

Opus 5.5 just deleted my entire fucking C drive. Thank GOD I have daily backups running to my Synology NAS, but holy fucking shit. This is insane. If I didn't have these backups running I'd be thoroughly fucking devastated.
